Tips & Tricks Workshops at the Computer Commons

To help improve students’ proficiency in basic computing, the Computer Commons is pleased to offer our Tips & Tricks workshop series. Focused on different topics, these practical, hands-on workshops last one hour and are on a drop-in basis for students in GM 230A. All students are welcome.

In Winter semester 2014, the workshop schedule and topics are as follows:

January 21, 10-11 am: Anti-Virus Protection
January 21, 2-3 pm: File Management: How to Save and Find Your Files on a Computer
January 22, 10-11 am: Printing in the Computer Commons
January 22, 2-3 pm: Anti-Virus Protection
January 28, 10-11 am: File Management: How to Save and Find Your Files on a Computer
January 28, 2-3 pm: Anti-Virus Protection
January 29, 10-11 am: Computer Survival: How to Avoid Common Computer Issues
January 29, 2-3 pm: Anti-Virus Protection
February 5, 6-7 pm: Anti-Virus Protection & Computer Survival
February 6, 6-7 pm: Anti-Virus Protection & File Management

    Can I come into the computer commons for assistance with computer class? I need help understanding a few things in word (creating tabs-formatting and mail merge). I did not do well in Word Exam which I am doing online(CIS 100).
